Hello,
I'd like to set up a CA server for a new domain (said domain will have a publicly accessible name, i.e. it won't be "mydomain.local", but rather "mydomain.com", where the domain in question will be publicly registered). My question is - is there a guide to setting up such a CA in such a way, that generated certificates will be publicly valid?
I realize I'll probably need a wildcard certificate for this domain, and this isn't a problem. What I'm interested in is the setup.
I've seen a few tutorials on how to set up a CA, and even done so once myself. However, if memory serves, this process creates a brand new CA certificate... useful if you propagate it through your own domain, but less useful if you want to use it to create valid certificates for, say, publicly accessible web sites.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
