nortons - wont recognise me as administrator

I cannot optimise my computer do Access Denied OK. It is not ok, I want to apply optimisation, ai am the administrator. windows checks of Norton has done nothing but tell me that the program is incompatible! - It appears to work o.k. on Scans and file cleans and updates.

I have spent many hours working to resolve this problem, but have just for the first time run it through microsoft, with the answer I gained above. Someone help please!!
