microsoft office 2003 for win xp and win 10

Hi Guys

My name is Antonio and i am new in making XL spread sheets. i want to know how to eliminate the formula symbols out from the following work sheet.

actually i made a spread sheet with lots of "L" in different rows. when i used the "Find " option, it finds all the "L"

example of work sheet

A B C D

Cams # Rise HDT Comments

1 L

2 .285 23

3 .150 20

4 L

5 L

AND SO ON.... Now when i used the find command, the results comes likes the following

$c$1 L

$c$4 L

$c$5 L ... and so on. but i want to take that"$" sign out. please help
