Installing both WDS and WSUS Server Roles on the same physical 2016 server

My agency is working on moving servers over to 2016 and are contemplating combining our WSUS server with our MDT/WDS server. I personally think it's not the best idea because we can't remote into WSUS, we use the Admin Console, but with MDT/WDS we have to constantly keep updating drivers, or making changes to the Task Sequence and so forth. What are the Best Practices for this situation?
