....and pray tell, where can one get such an update on CD - as one would
think that would be umpteen megs, and anything over 2Mbytes on dial-up
is asking for trash data or termination in the muddle.

Try contacting Gary over on http://www.grystmill.com/. Think he had three
CD-ROMs of stuff available for a minimal costs.

'Course you could do the WindowsUpdate thing..
