I work for a pharmaceutical company in Virginia. We use handheld mobile devices on our shop floor to capture and move inventory, etc. We currently use Data3 MRP II. This system handles inventory, shipping/receiving, financial info, scheduling and planning, etc.
We are going to start using SAP (a different MRP system). The operators will begin to access SAP by using Internet Explorer on the handheld devices. We currently have "some" restrictions on internet use (restricts access to webmail and IM programs), however, we will need to limit internet access on the handhelds so that ONLY SAP can be accessed.
These devices use Pocket PC 2003 (Windows Mobile).
Is there a registry file that can be edited to restrict internet access? If so,*which registry file is it and how should it be changed?
