This question is from the perspective of digital heritage organisations, museums, archives etc.
How can they purchase an official Windows XP professional version or other outdated windows versions as Windows Vista, including license key.
Everybody knows, that Microsoft is not supporting this software anymore. But that is not the problem. The problem is where to get these old operating systems. I am not interested in any nonofficial sources such as ebay. Where on the Microsoft homepage can old operating systems be downloaded and payed for? If there is no such possibility, then, Microsoft, provide it please. There is a real need for that.
Best wishes,
Claudia
My question never fits in these categories given by Microsoft and other Software providers. Why don't you provide a category for digital heritage?
