Ethernet not working on work PC "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS Server) is not responding"

Hi everyone, I'm hoping I can get some help here. Like the title says, I get the error "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource is not responding" when I try to troubleshoot my ethernet. This is also on my work PC so there's not many things I can try I've seen online because it's all administrator stuff. Additional information, I plug my ethernet into the wall instead of the router, with my current living situation I can't plug it right into the router but other people seem to have no issue plugging into the wall and using that connection.
