Two green lines - sort of like brackets are on my screen

I was using Photoshop and Excel this morning... two lines showed up. They are 3/8" high, 1" apart, the have a "dot" of sorts on the top (inside) of each line.I'm not sure where they came from or how to get rid of them. They stay on the top for any running programs - Word, Photoshop, AI, etc.Does anyone know how to get rid of them?
