BCDEDIT PAE booting problems. System services failed to start.

Hi, I tried to forcenable the PAE to get some advantage last week since I
have 4G memory on my 32bit Vista Ultimate Desktop. But after the reboot, I
found that many system services were unable to start with the PAE(Even IE is
not working) and I did not see any extra memory. I deleted the PAE value
anyway. Now I found that my computer will still come into this trouble in
most cases, even if I use forcedisable for the PAE. I have to pray that
everything will work when I boot my comuputer.
Anyone has any idea why my computer come into trouble after enable the PAE
and it is still in trouble even after I removed or forcedisabled the PAE?
I have tried a lot nx and PAE combination in the BCDEDIT(not all), but none
of them is working. My computer wil be failed to start a lot system services
during the booting in 90%. I can still enter the desktop enviroment(even aero
is workig), but I cannot do anything in those case(IE, WLM, SEP...not
working). Nowadays, I have to boot it for several times and wait for my lucky
strike that everything is working well and skip any possible restart.
Please kindly tell me if you have any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in
adavance!
Also, please feel free to ask me if you need any further info 'bout my
computer.

I would pull the RAM down to some minimum amount, restart, then replace the
RAM. Your BIOS is probably still 'mirroring' the extra RAM.

Service pack 1 for Vista will show you the ram available above 3 gigs. I'm
not sure the OS will ever use it.
