DefenderUI safe, legit?

Hi ive been having problems with my windows defender (windows 10 home edition). The protection history is empty and stays emty even after taking action against a threat, i feel like ive tried everything i can find on other posts on this fourm/other fourms even an in-place repair/upgrade, the only thing i havent tried is what ive seen a few people reccommending - "defenderUI" - DefenderUI checking the installer with virus total and hybrid analysis im skeptical as to whether i should trust this o
