keep that in my favourites. My computer clock gains a minute or so a
week, and I am one of those obsessive types who insists on ALL of my
clocks being absolutely dead on!! Drives Ron nuts, lol.

Nowadays my clocks need have just the two settings, alive and dead. As
long as the hands point at "alive" I know I'm OK. Whether it is morning,
noon or night or winter or summer no longer matters. <g>

Hi Sir Michael......I guess you do have a point or two (bad pun, groan).
Anyhow....must return your email. Got busy with eBay bidding and that
is SO ADDICTIVE!!. But I did manage to restrain myself somewhat. Got a
lot of Swarovski crystals though......plus a batch or two for Elayne.
Had to cuz I got her hooked on joolz (a la nellie) at Xmas. Off to try
and make up something. Problem is I have WAY too much inventory and
don't know where to start.

Note to self....I can hear Mikey saying, "start at the beginning,
twit"....snicker.

About the same....we have 4 in the kitchen alone. But I don't mind
changing them. Ron is *clock-challenged*, so I end up doing it.

In fact, if I added them up, I have way more than you, but when you are
retired, old man.....it gives you a whole new thing to do twice a year,
lol.

I laughed today......I had to replace my 11 year old Jetta battery and
of course that mucked up the theft prevention stuff for my
radio/cdplayer. I phoned the dealer and he walked me thru it.....once I
found the damn code for it. I had TWO chances to get it right......then
it would cost me $50 for the dealer to do it. Got it in ONE!!
Yay.....superbrain strikes again.

The dealer says the thieves leave VW alone because they can't sell the
ripped out radios without that code. That was my fun for the day.
Doesn't take much to amuse (or scare) me.

Retirement doesn't have a hoot to do with it! There's more than plenty to do
without 'changing clocks'. If one needs 'an extra' hour of daylight for
fulfilment of life, there is something amiss, to be in harmony with nature.
Interrupting the bio-rythm is definitely not healthy.
But opinions are there to be had and I can't deny your's (or John's).

Some critters have a fixed Circadian rhythm. Drives me nuts. Every day,
during "Daylight Saving Time", /Felis silvestris catus/ wakes me up at 0700
to be fed, hits me up at 1200, then, again, at 2100. Then comes "Fall Back".
Do you think she honors the clock change? Hardly. Now she bugs me an hour
earlier, every single damned day, and I lose an hour's sleep. Unless I
adjust to her schedule, in which case: What is the point of this pointless
exercise?

Rather than get the "correct" atomic time in a browser window, and them
manually setting the Windows clock, you might consider using an freeware
atomic clock time synchronizer utility, which will get the correct time and
update the Windows clock at the click of a button. Take a look at the
following (although, I'm sure that many more such utilities exist) which I
find to be work better than the built-in time synchronizer in Win XP:

1. Time Synchronizer at http://www.mytoolpad.com/open/timesync/ . This
utility will even allow you to specify user-defined automatic tome updates,
requiring no user intervention.

2. Atomic TimeSync at
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/ats.htm .
