Hello,
I met a new customer who is currently running TS2003. This is a small shop
with 5 people. There is one PC (XP SP2) and 4 Wyse S-10 terminals. There is
currently one scanner attached to the PC and the customer expressed the
following need: they want to have one scanner on each desk. I would like to
check if the following reasoning is correct:
- scanner redirection is not supported without 3rd party application like
www.remote-scan.com
- Given the fact that Wyse S10 are not XPe devices, I can't install
Remote-Scan on these boxes
- I could connect 4 scanners (USB) to the TS (using 'active' cables, 5m
length) and dispose them on the users desks
At this point it is not clear to me if each user would be able to use
his/her scanner or do I need some 3rd party in this situation as well ?
Any help or pointer would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Xavier
