Problem with Roxio Creator for CD Burner regarding No Free Space Amount Display

B

Brad

Hi,

I have "burned" some data CD's on my Dell Windows XP home edition laptop
(bought a couple months ago) using Roxio Creator software, but I could not
find our how to "see" how much free space is left on the blank CD after I
select each folder to add for the burn. Note: This is a one session project
and I wanted to fill up the CD and have it "finalized".

I have used Nero on my other computer's CD burner, which shows a scale
as you add files/folders so you can see how much "space" you have left.

I searched Roxio's "Help", but didn't find anything regarding this issue.

Does anyone know a technique besides manually adding up the size of the
folder's contents?

Thanks in advance, Brad

Before you type your password, credit card number, etc.,
be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC.

Every burner I've used has shown the used space and the free space
available while setting up the task.

With a cd in the player,go to my computer, hover the mouse over the player,
or,R.click the player, properties.Properties gets you a graph showing the
amount
used & free,hovering gets you a % of space used from original....Also,roxio
software is worthless in xp,maybe 5 or 6 years ago it had value with the
Windows OS,but since that time,it doesnt help, only causes software
conflicks....

Why are you asking HERE? Do you NERO or AHEAD in this group's title?
NO.

Ask elsewhere

Hi Brad -

It depends on what version and what application in Creator you are using. I verified with our tech lead that we've had data capacity bars in the Creator Classic Module for at least since Creator 7 - and probably earlier (we're up to v10 now)...

So I guess my question is what version Creator are you using?

Thanks,
