Problems activating monitor

Are you quite sure you have it plugged into the correct connector? It's
easy to overlook the connector on the plug-in video card and connect it
instead to the disabled video port on the motherboard.

Good point, it could also be the wrong video connector if there are two
available on the adapter...

Yeah, that's what I wondered about. Isn't the "slowly blinking" LED
beside the power button that OP described a "no signal" indication?

All the monitors I've ever worked on has an on-screen menu...
of course since the OP seems to be gone now...who knows for sure what the
situation was.
