MBSA safe against remote computers, no crashes?

What are the risks of running MBSA against remote computers? I can't
find enough details on how it works to feel 100% safe it won't reboot
or blue screen any computer I scan.

I normally do WMI queries against QFE, is that what MBSA does to check
security fix levels?

IMHO, if MBSA blue screens a computer on you - there is probably something
wrong with that remote computer anyway that you need to check out and
repair.

As for feeling 100% safe - especially with a computer that is connected to a
network of any sort and used by people - is not going to happen.

MBSA should not cause any issues with your computers - and again - if it
does - that is something you need to check into anyway - because that is not
'right'...

Thank you for your reply. I want to feel confident, but have been
burned too many time, not with MBSA, but with other tools that were
not suppose to cause any issues........

I have been testing with MBSA on a limited base and continuing to
expand as my confidence with it increases.
