Full version of Win 8 Pro is now seen as an upgrade, and after refreshing my operating system I can't activate the license

I purchased Windows 8 Pro from Costco quite a while back, a little after the operating system launched. I've updated my system a few times over the years and used the same disk. In fact, my account.live.com account shows me as having access to the upgrade of Windows 10 Pro.

Today, I refreshed my operating system and I'm receiving error 0xC004F061, saying that the disc is for an upgrade. This is 100% not the case. How do I get past this? My objective is to get back to Windows 10 Pro, but doing that appears to require that I have an activated version of Windows already installed.
