Windows 8.1: The dreaded 100% disk.

I've seen a lot of people with the same issue as me: At random times, the disk usage will jump to 100%, rendering the computer unusable for awhile. I've seen multiple solutions and causes, but not relate to me, so I hope someone can help me out here.

 

 

When this happens to me, the process using 99% of my disk is... System. It is really annoying as I use my computer for quite intensive things, and it used to run just fine until this began happening.

 

 

Anyone know how to stop system from using 99% disk on Windows 8.1?

 

 

PS: While I'm at it making a post, every time I try to comment or reply to a post this Microsoft website turns white and gets a loading bar, so I can't reply to people.
