My laptop's CD/DVD drive doesn't want to read my CDs/DVDs

Hello,

For a long time, my CD/DVD drive worked just the way it should but today, I tried to watch a movie but for some odd reason, my CD/DVD drive did sounds as if it was trying to read the disc, but nothing. After a bit it pretty much just gave up. What should I do?
