hey guys

question....

I have a Windows 8.1 x64 fully updated running on a Dell laptop, and I have 3 external HDDs connected to it (one 2TB with no power source and two other ones with power source, so, no need to worry about my laptop not having power enough to all HDD).

Everything that I could turned off on Power Options (in all 3 plans) and in the Device Manager I did

Every and each option in Device Manager is turned off (in the same way as the image is).

I have found a few articles "teaching" how to turn off via shell, doesn't work either. And I'm aware that has an app to "keep" the HDD on, but it writes a file in each X seconds. I personally didn't liked the idea, because it will, eventually, decrease the life span of HDD.

I tried to use the CrystalDiskInfo > Function -> Advanced Feature -> AAPM/APM control and got this

So, no more ideas or things that I'm aware of to do.

Any 2 cents to add here?

Cheers =)
