Guest Christopher_W Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Hi, I own an old Toshiba Satellite Z930 laptop, Part #: PT23A-01ECON; a few years ago the online re-installation of WIN8 failed about 75% of the way through and the laptop was abandoned. Now I'd like to resurrect this to use for a few simple tasks, like word processing and internet access, but all I can get to is the BIOS. I don't have the WIN8 key and the operating system came pre-loaded with the laptop. When I switch on the laptop, I get a blue screen with the following information: Recovery Your PC/Device need to be repaired The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information. File:\BCD Error code: 0x0000034 You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.
