Backspace from left space bar not working in sculpt comfort keybaord

Hello,

 

I have just bought a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001) at Amazon Canada (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CYX26BC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1),

 

then try to use the left space bar as backspace. Referring this page:

And what I did are 1. to install "Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Centre", and 2. to press and hold left and right space bar at the same time for more than 3 seconds. However, it doent work at all and the left space bar is still just working as space. The reason why I bought this keyboard is to use the left space bar as backspace. So, please let me know how to make it. If it doesn't work, I am going to return this keyboard to Amazon right away.
