Firefox: Message from MSN that I need to disable my ad blocker.

Suddenly, I am having a problem using Firefox with MSN as my homepage I receive a message stating I need to disable my ad blocker to view the home page properly. WHY would I want to disable my as blocker and open myself to hackers? Any suggestions?
