Windows 8 Installation Gives me the Wrong Install Type - Upgrade not New Install

I purchased the full install; not the upgrade version. Why will this not install. I have gotten a message exclaiming that "The product key works! Continue when you are ready."

 

 

Then it tells me that it is for upgrading only.

 

 

Why the error?

 

How dow I get the correct key?
