Guest garce Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Whenever I try to connect to windows remote desktop I get the following problem. Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons: 1) Remote access on the server is not enabled 2) The remote computer is turned off 3) The remote computer is not available on the network Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled This happens while on my home LAN and also outside the network Host: Windows 10 Pro running remote desktop server (updated to latest) Client: Windows 10 Pro running remote desktop connection, also fails with android app This used to be working perfectly inside and outside the network. I stopped using it for maybe last month. Over the weekend I had a problem with my dd-wrt router and had to do a factory reset. When I was setting everything on the router I noticed this problem. But not 100% sure whether it was working immediately before the router broken. I have set port forwarding on the router for other apps (Calibre for example) and it works fine.
