How can I found version of Windows that I had before on my notebook

I bought old notebook ASUS N56VJ and it was Windows 10 on it and everything worked. But then after system update some drivers of notebook were deleted. And now touchpad doesnt work. I can see a sticker with "Windows 8" title on the bottom of notebook. And I found Windows product key in BIOS. But unfortunatly it doesnt fit to Windows 8.1 that I've downloaded from this site.
