Guest Orange_Joe Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I am running a VM with Server 2012R2 through Hyper-V. The C drive was low on space (down to about 5GB) so I went hunting for what was taking up all this space. It turns out there were two .bkf files that were over a year old in the recycling bin. One was 44GB and the other was 18 or so. Thought, "Great, this is where all my space has gone" so I emptied the recycling bin but the space was not reclaimed as free.. I restarted the VM several times, tried the disk cleanup as well as ran a chkdsk through the C drive's Properties > Tools > Error Checking interface; no errors were found. I am pulling my hair out as to why the space was not reclaimed... Please help! -Orange_Joe Continue reading... Quote
