Random power button behavior when starting laptop

If I shut down my laptop, I have a very hard time starting it after that.

 

 

I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware/driver problem, as the power button works perfectly in other situations.

 

 

The only way I found to start my computer, is to press the power button tens of times for various durations and it starts after I tried enough times.

 

Sometimes, it starts with the fan at full power and stays like this, so I have to force crash it, sometimes it remains stuck on some black screen with the brand of the computer and a turning time icon, sometimes it starts normally.

 

 

I have the problem both after my computer has been on sleep for more than about 10 minutes and after a real shutdown.

 

On the other hand, I have no problem using "restart" in Windows.

 

 

It's as if the power button was inactive at a software level, but if I press it enough times, it starts the computer.
