Guest jackdoor Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 I’m asking this question on behalf of a buddy of mine. He has ASUS flat desktop PC. He turned it on today, after the start up he got this message “Preparing to configure windows” and straight after that, this message “shutting down” The PC then shuts down after 2 mins. This goes on every time he starts the PC. The fan is working ok, The PC is Asus all-in-one a8 elite, model et 2221a. His OS is win 8. Neither of us are fully computer literate but we can follow instructions, click on xxx, open xxx and so on. Hope someone has an answer, and the patience to stick with us.
