My Windows 8 PC will not boot. F8 is not working

Windows update was installed on friday an since then My machine has gotten slower and now will not boot at all the repair tool says it ran into a problem. I have tried to boot it in safe mode but f8 is not working assistance is required as this is my home/office machine and I need it for work today.

 

How can I fix this
