Some laptop hardware stops working after a while

Please read the symptoms carefully, it's crazy.

From time to time, some hardware of my laptop become inactive (= keyboard, trackpad, volume, power port and power button to put computer on Sleep), BUT the USB ports remain functional (= wireless mouse and wireless keyboard keep working), as well as the touch screen, speakers and jack output and I can still long press the power button to crash the computer.

If I try to restart the PC or to shut it down from the Start menu, it remains stuck on "Restarting" or "Shutting down" and I have to force crash it.

After this, to start the computer, I have to press the power button for about 20 seconds, release it and press it again quickly, it doesn't work every time, but it does work if I try a couple of times.

Then, the computer works perfectly till next time the problem occurs.

I can't figure out if it's a hardware or software problem, or both, because, after the computer is restarted, everything works, so there doesn't seem to be a definitive hardware problem, but it might still be something that occurs because of some electronic problem.

Any hint?

Thanks
