windows 8 fail to recover data

hello.

 

so i was working with a program for a couple of days without turning the pc of/

 

the day i finished my work i saved all data and turned the pc off because it was glitchy and always stuck for couple of seconds/

 

after i turned it on i noticed all data i saved was gone ( SPSS and word files ).

 

i tried to recover the last recovery date that was 5 days ago and it couldn't recover and noticed me that there was a problem recovering and i should try a different date to recover.

 

after i chose a different date it still didn't recover and issued me the same problem.

 

please help/ thank you
