Can other devices on my network view the folders on my device?

I happened up: FILE, NETWORK, TAB.

I share my internet connection with a roommate. I see their laptop EX6150V2 under "computers" and I see my computer JPA-ENVY under "computers".

When I click on EX6150V2, I get the message "THIS FOLDER IS EMPTY".

When I click on JPA-ENVY, I get a folder entitled "USERS", click, 3 User folders: 1 with MYNAME; 1 DEFAULT; 1 PUBLIC . I click on MYNAME an there is the entire content of my laptop.

CAN EX6150V2 see the See the contents of JPA-ENVY? How can I verify this?

OMG - what if they could :((

Thank you.
