Still facing 0% when downloading windows patches on Windows Server 2016 Standard

I've tried several options found on the internet:

 

Ensured to stop any Firewalls

 

Proxy? : we don't use proxy here

 

renaming SoftwareDistrubutionn folder, restarting all related WSUS services.

 

Based on yet another article, we are trying to see if the WSUS agent version is the issue. If so, how would we even find out which cumultative update that is packaged in to? and if its older, how would we revert to an older update?

 

Current wsus version is: 10.0.14393.2879

 

Based on working version wsus agent: 10.0.14393.187

 

Please advise...
