Guest SabineSmith Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 I have a problem with my laptop (Windows 8) connecting to the internet and get an error message "DNS server not detected". I tried different browsers and it happens with all of them. Other devices work fine so it must be the laptop. I read somewhere to disable the windows firewall. I did that and everything seems to work fine now. So my question is, is it safe to leave windows firewall off? I have Avast Internet security. Is that enough?
