Hi

 

 

I had Windows 8 pre-installed with my laptop purchased from a retailer. I downloaded and upgraded this to Windows 10. After a few days there were issues with my laptop and I took it to the authorised service center. The service center guy formatted the laptop and re-installed Windows 8. However the laptop keeps asking for Windows activation key. I ran wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey and got a License Key. However when I gave this key at Active Key in PC Settings it gave a message that This key cannot be used for this version of Windows

 

 

Please guide on how this can be rectified. There is no sticker beneath the laptop nor do i have any other details available
