User accounts don't appear on startup. I've edited the registry but it doesn't survive reboot.

As per title, the user accounts in the computer do not appear. We are using Windows 8 and the computer has 2 accounts, my dad's and mine. The last logged on account would automatically be the account on startup, and it's too much hassle to sign out of the other then sign in to the other. I've tried the solution

. It worked after the restart but when I rechecked the registry, on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\UserSwitch, the Enabled reverted back to 0 but there were no changes on the task scheduler. I restarted it and there you go, no user accounts again. Changed it again to 1 and restart, and it worked again. However, it's another hassle to change it to 1 every start up so is there a way for the Enabled to not revert to 0?

Thank you and have a great day.
