Hard drive failed got new and can't instal windows 8 due to bios hiding Windows 8 instal key.

Have asus with bios imbedded code for windows but cant load a fresh copy on new hard drive because without a valid code install will not finish or even start the install. then what? About to switch to another operating system all together because tired of the run around BS from the Not owned by Gates Microsoft. Can't use the code finder or unhiding program if I can't operate my system enough to do so. I know I'm not a computer tech with limitless skill I just want to get my old asus working so my kid can do school online due to Covid19'. Isn't there some kind of temporary use key that will allow windows to instal completely so the encrypted bios can free itself with my first time going online to thank Microsoft for their kindness in having the smarts to have such a code? And I am just an uneducated fool for not knowing that code.
