Error code 43 with Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex

Hi, I have a Seagate external hard disk. It is 5 years old but has some data.

[PN:9ZF2A2-500 GB] [sN:NA0G3BT0].

When I plug it in, lights are getting on at hard disk but not recognized by my laptop (Windows 8).

I tried to uninstall from device manager. But it did not help and continues showing Error Code 43.

Any suggestions?
