Key not working - Updating to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8

Hello everyone.

 

 

I have a Compaq laptop that came with Windows 8. Yesterday I decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1.

 

 

I followed the tutorial from Microsoft, downloaded the ISO and then when I entered my Product Key (from Windows 8) it said that it wasn't valid.

 

 

Then some people told me to use a Generic Key and then when I did the update I would be able to activate using my Product Key from Windows 8.

 

 

I tried entering the Generic Key and, again, it didn't work...

 

 

I would really appreciate some help.
