WIndows 8 Pro Product Key to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro

Hi Microsoft Community,

 

 

I'm trying to find out if my Windows 8 Product Key will allow me to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I can't remember if I purchased the Windows 8 Pro Boxed version as an upgrade to Windows 7 or if it the full retail version. I'd like to be able to install Windows 8 Pro on a recently purchased SSD and then upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro (assuming that the current information on the Internet is correct and that this is still possible). I did trying speaking to a Microsoft Agent, but obviously they told me that I need to purchase Windows 10.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't want to start this process unless I know that I will be successful. Look forward to hopefully receiving assistance from Microsoft Community Members.
