W8 tablet won't recognize new home network

I have a HP W8 tablet that prior to installing a new wifi modem/router worked perfectly. After installing the new modem, the tablet will not recognize the new network. My computer, television, another tablet (Android) and two cell phones found it immediately. I've tried all the trouble shooting available on the tablet going through all steps, even tried manually connecting. I entered the name of the new network, all the info and password. It said that this network already existed, but still will not recognize it. If there's anything left as far as troubleshooting, I fail to find it. I've been through all I can find.

 

 

It will pick up the neighbor's network over 100 yards away and I also took the tablet to work with me, and it picked up 8 networks immediately after turning it on.

 

 

Not being especially computer savvy, I'm at my wit's end. I only use it for reading, but miss the dictionary and web search features, which make reading much more educational.
