can I use Windows 8 to install and activate an Laptop, because on PC was W8 upgraded on Windows 10

I currently have Windows 10 Home activated.

 

It has been upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10, according to Microsoft's offer.

 

So, on the PC, I first had Windows 8 installed, which was then upgraded to Windows 10 via the Internet and activated.

My question is, can I use Windows 8 to install and activate an Laptop?
