Guest Raymond Sky Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 I have read other postings but doesn't seem to help me to activate my Windows 8. I have a HP Pavilion laptop which comes with Windows 8 License but have recently upgraded the HDD and Windows is reinstalled. Now it's asking me to activate my Windows. Have got the product key by initiating a command "wmic path SoftwareLicensingService" and got my product key which I think is in the BIOS. However, using this product key it says "this can't be used to activate this edition of windows" and doesn't allow me to activate my Windows 8.
