Dictate using Speech Recognition

Hello,

I have a problem with Speech Recognition. It's working fine listening to commands, and does as I say, however all it hears is commands.

I've read somewhere that what it doesn't reconize as a command, is inserted as text.

However, it takes every word I say as a command. If it doesn't reconize a command, all it says is: &quotWhat was that?&quot.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or perhaps an alternative for Speech Recognition?
