will hyper-v work w/o activation ?

I have upgraded windows 7 to windows 8, but have not activate OS, so my hyper-v role installs but i cannot connect to localhost server &quotbe sure that role is installed and serice is started&quot - i got error like this, but in a Russian! So will hyper-v

work without activation ?
