Established connections

In Windows 8 on a new HP Pavilion explorer.exe and LiveCom.exe, and occasionally other identified processes, are shown as Established connections when I type 'netstat -ano' into Command Prompt. Is this normal, and is there any danger here of

hacking etc, please?

Only IE used to show as Established in Vista, as it also does in Windows 8.
