Grace m903 USB DAC does not work with Windows 8

Used it no problem for 2 years with Win 7. Plugged into Win 8 on new Toshiba Laptop, the Grcae shows up in Sound Devices and can be configured but the test tone sounds weird.

 

Will not play music...on Windoes Media Player and Spotify the trach cursor does not move...unplug the USB DAC and bingo muisc through laptop speakers...plug it back in...it stops.

 

What is going on??
