Unable to add a Google Account to Windows 8 (Mail, People, Calendar)

Hi everyone.

I cannot add my google account to Windows 8 Mail App, nor to the People app. When I enter the credentials it tries to login but then it says to check if the username and/or password are correct. I am doing copy and paste so I am sure they are correct.

The situation is the following:

• I have a Microsoft account and a Google account
  
• Both accounts refer to the same Gmail address: xxxxx@gmail.com
  
• I was able to login with the Microsoft account
  
• I am not able to connect with the Google account
