Windows 8 Reader doesn't open some PDFs

The reader app in windows 8 does not open some PDFs. It think's the PDF may be corrupted however the PDF has opened in any other program I've tried. I've also tried on other win 8 machine and experience the same problem.

The PDFs I am trying to open are screen captures generated by phantomjs.
